We are seeking a Case Manager, Reintegration Specialist with lived experience in the justice system, to deliver direct, impactful employment services to justice-involved individuals. This position requires high-level people skills, a solutions-focused mindset, detailed documentation, and the ability to self-manage while working in diverse and unconventional field settings throughout Riverside County and adjacent San Bernardino County.
In this role, you will guide job seekers in overcoming employment barriers, connect them with sustainable opportunities, and lead key aspects of the program, from service design to partnership building with employers and community organizations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management
- Develop and implement program strategies, including job readiness workshops, skills training, and support services for participant needs.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of job seeker progress, employment outcomes, and other key performance indicators.
- Monitor and report on the success and challenges of the program, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
Employment Navigation
- Provide individualized employment counseling and case management to justice-involved individuals, guiding them through the job search process.
- Assist clients with resume writing, job applications, interview preparation, and professional development.
- Identify and address specific barriers to employment faced by clients, including legal history, lack of work experience, and personal challenges.
- Encourage and promote an environment that is strength-based to assist participants in meeting their individual employment goals.
Employer Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with local employers, advocating for the hiring of individuals with justice system involvement.
- Educate employers on the benefits of hiring justice-impacted individuals and provide them with resources and support to create inclusive work environments.
- Coordinate job placements and track success metrics related to employment retention.
Collaboration & Advocacy
- Collaborate closely with internal supportive services teams and external community partners to ensure wraparound support.
- Partner with local community organizations, social service agencies, and legal advocates to ensure clients have access to additional support resources (e.g., housing, transportation, legal aid).
- Conduct outreach to raise awareness about the program and recruit new participants.
- Represent Path of Life Ministries in outreach, networking, and advocacy efforts related to employment and reentry.
- Use of personal vehicle to travel to various employment sites throughout Riverside and San Bernardino County and transport participants on a case-by-case basis.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:Required qualifications:
- Lived experience within the justice system and demonstrated success in personal reentry and employment.
- Minimum 2-3 years working in workforce development, social services, or community organizing, with a focus on supporting individuals impacted by the justice system.
- Experience in case management, coaching, or mentorship, particularly with individuals in vulnerable or marginalized populations.
- Experience working with employers and building partnerships to support employment opportunities.
- Strong communication (written & verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of employment law, including ban-the-box policies and other policies related to the hiring of justice-impacted individuals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience in data collection, reporting, and tracking client outcomes.
- Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and (preferably) Access.
- Commitment to social-economic justice, working knowledge of the criminal justice & prison industry.
- Extensive experience working with individuals who are chronically displaced & unemployed, justice-involved, and/or veterans.
- Project a professional demeanor.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Employment eligibility verification.
- Valid CA driver’s license.
- Reliable personal (not public) transportation available at all times.
- Maintains auto insurance.
- Successful completion of background screening.
Preferred qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in the Social Sciences, mental health or social services, business, personnel management, vocational services, or other related field.
