Teacher Preschool Special Ed

Qualifications

• Must hold New Jersey teacher certificates in P-3 and Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped.
• Possess interpersonal skills with students, staff, parents & community.
• Experience teaching preschool students with special needs.
• Diagnose student strengths and weaknesses and match these skills with appropriate techniques and materials.
• Mastery of pedagogical and subject matter skills.
• Demonstrate expertise in designing and implementing standards-based instruction.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning.
• Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction.
• Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
• Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others.
• Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community.
• Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA.
