What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Medicaid Compliance Coordinator position at PATERSON PUBLIC SCHOOLS?
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Special Education programs, including knowledge of IDEA compliance, IEP processes, evaluations, and related services.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Special Education Medicaid Initiative (SEMI), Medicaid reimbursement processes, or similar state/federal compliance and funding programs.
- Strong experience with data management systems, NJSLEDS, SID Management, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, databases, reporting systems, and electronic record management.
- Experience preparing documentation for audits, grants, compliance monitoring, and state or federal reporting requirements.
- Proven project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, contracts, and compliance-related activities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports, presentations, correspondence, and communicating with administrators, schools, and external agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, develop solutions, and implement procedures that improve operational efficiency, compliance, and accountability.
- Must have knowledge of Special Education programs and supports as outlined in N.J.A.C. Title 6A:14.
