What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter Helper / Laborer position at Pate Contracting LLC?
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Carpenter Helper to join our team. This role supports our lead carpenters on a variety of residential and/or commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate is motivated, eager to learn, and able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, and installing materials
- Carry, load, and organize tools, lumber, and job materials
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision
- Keep the job site clean, safe, and organized
- Help with framing, demolition, trim work, and general carpentry tasks
- Follow instructions and work closely with the carpentry team
- Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with coworkers and clients
- Assist with various drainage and erosion control projects.
Requirements
- Previous construction, drainage, erosion or carpentry experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor
- Basic knowledge of tools and job-site safety
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
