Job Title: Senior R&D Scientist

We are seeking an experienced Senior R&D Scientist to join our team at our Sausalito office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science or chemistry, with experience working with alcoholic beverage formulation and development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new product development processes, including formulation trials, stability testing, and prototype development of RTD cocktails, hard seltzers, wines, and spirits. They will work closely with other departments to support new product development and manage projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and label considerations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new product development processes, including formulation trials, stability testing, and prototype development
- Manage and lead projects, creating technical plans, risk management, and supplier mitigation plans
- Collaborate with Legal on formula filings and ensure compliance with product development
- Work with the Executive Team on managing technical timelines for new products and research projects
Requirements:
- BS or higher degree in Food Science/Chemistry or a related discipline
- ~5 years of experience in consumer product development
- ~ Experience implementing processes in food and beverage product development
- ~ Experience managing and developing a team of food scientists
- ~ Strong knowledge of TTB and/or food and beverage regulatory compliance
- ~ Passionate about food and beverage, and especially alcohol beverage products
