Automotive Mechanic

At Pats ProTune, we handle real mechanical work—engine tear-downs, diagnostics, classics, and in-depth repairs that require experience, patience, and pride in doing the job right.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Engine tear-downs, rebuilds, and replacements
• Transmission R&R and related work
• Head gaskets, timing components, and internal engine repairs
• Suspension and drivability concerns
• Electrical and diagnostic work (domestic & import)
• Classic and older vehicles, including upgrades and restoration-style mechanical work

This is not a quick-lube environment. This is a shop where your skill set actually gets used.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong, hands-on experience with engine and driveline work
• Ability to diagnose and repair without constant direction
• Comfortable working on a wide range of vehicles (classics, domestics, imports)
• Someone who takes pride in their work and stands behind it
• A-level technician—not an entry-level position

If you need constant oversight, this isn’t the role for you.

Shop Environment

• Small, tight-knit team
• High volume, steady workflow (no slow seasons)
• Heated 5-bay shop
• Dedicated engine rebuild room
• Specialty tools and diagnostic equipment provided

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• No weekends

Pay & Benefits

• $28 /hour DOE (top pay for experienced technicians)
• PTO accrual after 90 days
• Paid major holidays
• Sick pay after 90 days
• Retirement match after 12 months
• Tool allowance after 12 months
