Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Purchaser / Buyer to manage and develop a portfolio of international suppliers.
This role sits between a Buyer and a Senior Buyer, combining operational autonomy with strategic contribution.
The ideal candidate is comfortable negotiating directly with suppliers, managing purchasing cycles end-to-end, and collaborating closely with finance, logistics, and sales teams to support growth and profitability.
Key ResponsibilitiesPurchasing & Supplier Management
- Manage a portfolio of domestic and international suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, payment terms, and exclusivity where applicable
- Maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships
- Participate in supplier onboarding and product assortment decisions
Operational Execution
- Create, manage, and track purchase orders
- Ensure accurate confirmations, ETAs, and delivery follow-up
- Coordinate with logistics partners on shipping, lead times, and constraints
- Resolve discrepancies related to pricing, quantities, or deliveries
Inventory & Financial Management
- Forecast demand and manage inventory levels
- Optimize stock rotation and cash flow
- Analyze cost structures, landed costs, and margins
- Work closely with finance on payments, FX exposure, and cost control
Strategic Contribution
- Support category and assortment strategy
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and margin improvements
- Provide market and supplier insights to leadership
- Participate in trade shows and supplier meetings when needed
Profile & Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or buying
- Experience with international suppliers (Europe preferred)
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- High level of autonomy and accountability
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Strong Excel and ERP / inventory system proficiency
- Fluent in English; French or Italian is a strong plus
