Pasta Louise is a neighborhood-driven, high-volume Italian restaurant rooted in hospitality, consistency, and care — for our guests and our team. We’re seeking an experienced, grounded General Manager to lead Front of House operations, support a strong management team, and help steward the restaurant day to day.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves being on the floor, believes great service is built through preparation and accountability, and takes pride in running a tight, respectful operation.
About the Role
As General Manager, you’ll be the primary steward of the guest experience and FOH team. You’ll work closely with ownership, Floor Managers, Captains, and BOH leadership to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly, consistently, and with care.
You’ll be trusted with real responsibility — and expected to lead by example.
What You’ll Do
Lead & Develop the Team
- Oversee all FOH staff, including Captains, Hosts, and the Floor Managers
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train FOH team members
- Maintain and oversee completion of role-specific FOH training programs
- Lead weekly Captain meetings and contribute to management meetings
- Uphold handbook standards and participate in coaching and disciplinary processes when needed
Own the Floor & Service
- Take full ownership of daily service and the restaurant floor
- Train and manage the Host team to maximize flow, pacing, and covers
- Maintain consistent opening/closing standards and deep-cleaning protocols
- Ensure NYC DOH compliance and maintain an “A” grade
- Be fluent in every FOH role and ready to step in when needed
Scheduling & Staffing
- Build and post FOH schedules in Homebase with foresight and balance
- Manage labor in real time during service
- Handle call-outs, PTO requests, and coverage calmly and effectively
- Maintain a strong on-site presence during peak dayparts
Communication & Systems
- Partner closely with BOH leadership on menus, specials, and training
- Coordinate in-flow training for new food and beverage items
- Maintain RESY floor plans, Square POS, and menu updates
- Communicate clearly via Slack and email
- Respond to guest emails, reviews, and messages professionally
Financial Accountability
- Manage FOH labor percentages through thoughtful scheduling and real-time decisions
- Track sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Submit payroll data, audit tips, and upload invoices weekly
- Report assigned metrics at weekly management meetings

Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
