Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a smooth dining experience. You will manage reservations, greet guests, and assist with seating arrangements while maintaining a positive atmosphere in the restaurant. The Host is also responsible for take-out orders which includes entering orders into the POS system, packing the orders and collecting payment from the guests.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a friendly demeanor.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
- Communicate wait times to guests and provide updates as needed.
- Utilize RESY for entering, managing, and checking-in reservations.
- Utilize Toast POS system for take-out orders. Orders are entered into Toast, packaged and payment is collected at guest pickup.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area which includes stocking take-out containers, assembling pizza boxes etc.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Uphold Pasta Beach standards for guest relations, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred.
- Familiarity with RESY and Toast POS or similar reservation and point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Exceptional guest service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team are essential.
