As a Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth patient experience and supporting clinical staff with both administrative and medical tasks. This hybrid role includes managing reception duties, assisting with medical procedures, handling documentation, and supporting immigration physicals, including venipuncture or vaccine preparation and administration as required.

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Part-time, up to 24 hours a week, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (Tuesdays and Wednesdays are required, 8-hour shift; start flexibility required as needed)

Primary Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
- Facilitate efficient clinic operations by supporting the Registered Nurse (RN) and managing front-desk functions.
- Process transactions and manage invoice batch reports.
- Provide education on travel supplies and handle product sales inquiries.
- Generate and collect payments for invoices.
- Review patient medical histories.
- Prepare and administer vaccines as needed, especially during immigration physicals and based on patient flow.
- Monitor patients post-vaccine administration.
- Perform venipuncture if the service is required in the local area
- Support immigration physicals, including preparing and organizing required documentation, assisting with intake, and completing necessary paperwork in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Receive lab results, inform clients, schedule follow-up appointments as needed, and record and upload results to the EMR.
- Manage and restock clinic inventory, including medications and vaccines.
- Oversee supply rotations and maintain cleanliness in all clinical and reception areas.
- Track and document inventory levels to ensure accurate stock counts.
- Prepare and organize paperwork for immigration physicals, coordinating patient records, supporting the intake process, and ensuring all documents are accurately completed and filed.
- Scan, upload, and manage patient documents, ensuring compliance with clinic and regulatory standards.
- Print necessary medical forms and organize documentation for the clinic team.
- Exhibit professionalism and effective communication skills in interactions with patients and peers.
- Address customer service issues, complaints, and travel itinerary requests.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a clinical setting.
- Certification: Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
- Language: Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
- Attributes: Reliable, punctual, and capable of working in a fast-paced, self-directed environment with minimal supervision.
