Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Assist dentist during various procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics with precision and professionalism.
- Take digital dental X-rays
- Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality.
- Perform chairside assisting at the direction of the dentist.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques combined with a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic te
- Knowledge of general dentistry procedures along with specialized fields like prosthodontics and endodontics.
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards for both patients and staff.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all age and team members across clinical and administrative roles.
- Capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
