Passion Masonry LLC is looking for a skilled Masonry & Concrete Estimator to join our growing team in North Charleston, SC! Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for masonry and concrete projects including materials, labor, and equipment
- Review blueprints, specifications, and project scopes to develop accurate takeoffs
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive pricing
- Collaborate with project managers and field crews to align estimates with real-world conditions
- Track and analyze bid results to continuously improve estimating accuracy
- Maintain organized records of bids, proposals, and project documentation
- Identify potential project risks and incorporate appropriate contingencies into estimates
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in masonry, concrete, or construction estimating
- Strong knowledge of masonry and concrete materials, methods, and installation techniques
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and specifications
- Experience with estimating software (PlanSwift) and/or Microsoft Office Suite
- QuickBooks Online experience preferred.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids simultaneously
