Salary Range: $60k - $70k annual salary
Job Description:
Our Credit and Collections Analyst will be responsible for evaluating creditworthiness, managing our collection processes, and analyzing financial data to minimize risk and ensure timely payments across multiple operating companies in the PassCo portfolio. Additionally, this position will manage the credit approval process and ensure timely collection of outstanding accounts receivable. They will work closely with customers, sales teams, and finance departments to resolve billing issues, monitor account activity, and maintain healthy cash flow. This role will be essential for minimizing financial risk and supporting overall business operations.
Core responsibilities:
Credit assessment: Review and evaluate all credit applications, analyze financial data and statements to evaluate the creditworthiness and assess credit risk of new and existing customers; creating and maintain credit history files with customers and vendors; will also include completing prequalification and PCIP/OCIP forms with customers that require them
Account management: Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments, contact customers to request payment, and negotiate payment plans, if necessary.
Collections activity: Organize and document all collection efforts, resolve disputes and billing discrepancies, reconciling payments, and identify accounts that require external collection efforts, legal action, or bad debt consideration.
Reporting and analysis: Prepare reports on the status of accounts receivable, analyze financial ratios, and make recommendations to management on credit policy and procedures.
Essential skills and qualifications:
Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, customer service, and negotiation skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are also critical.
Education: A bachelor's or associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, though not required, especially with relevant work experience.
Experience: Experience with credit and collections management, financial analysis, and ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills are required.
