Description
Responsible for the installation, repair, troubleshooting and maintenance of all PVSC process piping, valves, plumbing equipment and components throughout the plant.
Minimum Requirements
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in plumbing and the pipefitter trade.
Education: High school diploma, vocational School diploma or equivalency certificate. Advanced education at a trade school is desirable and may be accepted as equivalent to one (1) year of work experience.
Requirements: Candidates must be able to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position. Must have thorough knowledge of basic maintenance shop practices as well as the safety precautions that must be exercised during maintenance and repair. Must be knowledgeable of mechanical work, rigging and standard plumbing practices. Must be able to compare and recognize differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects. Must be able to read and understand plans, schematics, isometrics, arrangement drawings, details, specifications, assembly manuals, and/or blueprints, and make decisions based on measurable criteria. Must be available for emergencies and/or job assignments on a 24-hour basis.
Physical Demands: Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation to ensure the health and safety of oneself and others are maintained. Perform physical activities that require considerable use of the arms, legs, and the whole body such as climbing (including ladders), lifting up to 50 lbs., balancing, walking, stooping and handling heavy objects. Must qualify for and possess the ability to perform entry into confined spaces while wearing proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as, but not limited to, canister and dust masks, as well as SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus), in compliance with PVSC’s Facial Hair Grooming Policy.
Working Conditions: Workers are employed in conditions associated with a wastewater treatment plant and sewer collection system and will be required to work indoors and outdoors.

The expected base pay range is $79,643 to $99,704. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, education, training, and formal credentials.
