What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clerk 2 - Assistant to the County Education Specialist position at PASSAIC COUNTY?
Serves as the assistant to the County Education Specialist (CES) and is responsible for performing all clerical duties required by the CES as it relates to general education which includes but is not limited to:
- Managing CES telephone calls and CES calendar.
- Preparing correspondence, memorandums, agendas and reports.
- Filing and maintenance of department files.
- Completes other assignments as requested by the CES pertaining but not limited to Statement of Assurances (Paraprofessional, CEP, etc.), NJQSAC – Instruction and Program, Technology Plans, Curriculum, Homeless Education/McKinney-Vento, HIB, Residency.
- Preparing and submitting of the monthly Travel Expense Invoices and preparing of the Request for Travel Authorization.
- Collecting and reviewing all County Teacher of the Year submissions and preparing all applications for review.
- Assisting with special projects such as Teen Summit, ECPC Recognition Breakfast, Governor's Teacher Recognition Program and Gang Awareness Seminar.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: Previous business and education knowledge with office experience. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams and Google Workspace
Note: Excellent communication and writing skills. Bilingual is a plus.
License: Valid New Jersey Driver's License.

Salary : $50,199 - $52,310
