Duties
- Conduct engaging and informative driving lessons for students in standard passenger cars, motorcycles, and specialized vehicles as needed
- Deliver both classroom-based instruction and online courses to accommodate diverse learning preferences
- Teach advanced driving skills including defensive driving, highway maneuvers, night driving, adverse weather techniques, and off-road instruction
- Provide tailored driver safety training for special needs drivers and teen learners
- Lead driver rehabilitation programs to assist individuals recovering from incidents or improving their driving confidence
- Assess student progress regularly, offering constructive feedback to foster improvement
- Maintain detailed records of lessons delivered, student performance, and progress reports
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior driver instruction with a strong understanding of standard passenger car operation and motorcycle safety instruction
- Demonstrated ability to teach adult education principles and manage classroom or virtual learning environments effectively
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students of varying ages and backgrounds
- Knowledge of manual transmission operation, highway maneuvers, defensive driving techniques, and adverse weather driving strategies
- Experience working with students with special needs or requiring driver rehabilitation is a plus
- Strong organizational skills to plan lessons, manage schedules, and keep accurate records
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; proficiency in motorcycle operation is desirable
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for online instruction platforms and in-person settings
