Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation bookings using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Seat guests efficiently, balancing wait times and table availability to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Handle guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, providing information about wait times, reservations, and restaurant services.
- Manage cashier duties by accurately processing payments through POS systems, including cash, credit cards, and digital transactions.
- Maintain organized guest flow by coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service.
- Uphold food safety standards and cleanliness in the hostess stand area to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Support guest services by addressing special requests or concerns promptly, fostering positive guest relations throughout their visit.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently.
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on friendly customer interactions.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and hospitality best practices.
- Previous experience in hotel or restaurant guest services is a plus.
