Translator and Interpreter - Japanese Bilingual

Title: Translator/Coordinator - Japanese Bilingual

Location: Carrollton, GA

Salary Range: $65K-$75k for experience candidates.

• Will discuss salary for candidates without professional interpreter/translator experience

General Purpose of the Job

Provide support to Japanese expatriate associates and families by assisting with language support for relocation, personal (occasional) and work related business. Provide Executive team, Administration and Human Resources administrative support.

Qualifications

• Four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two (2) years’ experience in an office setting and two (2) years’ experience conducting simultaneous translation of Japanese and English is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Translate written and verbal meetings and documents in Japanese and English using Microsoft Office applications.
• Support live translation for meetings
• Translate and interpret Japanese and American communications facilitating accurate inter-cultural relationships.
• Assist Japanese staff with personal business (bank accounts, social security numbers, driver’s license, household accounts, home search, etc.)
• Assist Japanese staff with orientation (handbook translation, email accounts, cell phones, etc.)
• Assist with immigration administration.
• Provide Administrative support within the Human Resources group with an emphasis on Japanese American cultural relationships.
• Answer in-coming phone calls and greeting guests.
• Assist with visitor arrangements for special meetings and events.
• Administer mail services.
• Interpret and translate policy and procedure.
• Provide Administration department clerical tasks as assigned.
• Other tasks as required by Leadership team.
• Coordinate development of companies Monozukuri and NY Circle programs within H.R. and manufacturing operations.
