Sales Assistant/Sales Representative, Japanese Bilingual

A boutique Japanese manufacturer and distributor is seeking a Japanese Bilingual Sales Assistant/Sales Representative who is eager to build a career in B2B sales, learn new technologies, and grow with the company.

This position will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and executing sales activities for both existing and new accounts across North America.

The ideal candidate is motivated to pursue a career in B2B sales and has a strong interest in learning new products and technologies.

An engineering background is highly preferred but not required.

Business-level Japanese language skills are required.

Job Summary:

• Develop and implement sales strategies based on market conditions and customer needs, while identifying new business opportunities within both existing and new markets.
• Support sales activities for the company’s product lines by preparing and presenting technical product information to current and prospective customers.
• Coordinate customer projects, provide product delivery information, and address product specifications, technical questions, and engineering-related issues to support sales growth and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Collaborate closely with regional sales representatives, engineers, technical service teams, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely responses to customer needs.
• Maintain clear written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders and provide thorough follow-up on action items, customer requests, and project discussions.
• Work toward achieving assigned sales targets and financial objectives.
• Support the development of both existing customer accounts and new business opportunities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent professional experience.
• B2B sales experience is preferred; however, recent graduates and entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
• Business-level Japanese language skills are required.
• An educational or professional background in engineering, electronics, or a related technical field is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of electronic engineering is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with order-processing or related business software is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally, as required.
• Strong interest in developing a long-term career in technical or B2B sales.
