Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs, mental state, and overall well-being, documenting changes accurately
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
- Administer medications following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment to promote hygiene and safety
- Support clients with mobility using manual handling techniques or equipment like Hoyer lifts when required
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation, especially for seniors or individuals with developmental disabilities
Skills
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, and hospice care practices
- Ability to observe patient conditions closely and report findings accurately for care planning purposes
- Familiarity with medical procedures including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience working within home health or community care environments while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Competence in assisting with manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts and supporting residents during transfers
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams, families, and clients’ support networks
