Job Title: AutoCAD Drafter
Classification: Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY:
Designs and develops submittal packages and computer graphic floor plans of unique design utilizing various software packages to provide professional and quality control installations of our products.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
85% Controls submittal preparation utilizing AutoCAD Electrical and Excel.
5% Prepares computer graphic display pages with point overlays to meet each unique project’s need. Design animated graphic parts for each H.V.A.C. subsystem.
5% Coordinates the daily workflow of the AutoCAD Operator.
5% Manages all files and graphic data for storage of data and backups. Synchronizes data between field and office staff.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The AutoCAD Drafter does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
A two year degree or certificate from a recognized AutoCAD two-year college or technical school required; Four year degree in related field preferred. One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Word processing and data entry skills, ability to create, compose and edit written materials. Ability to create spreadsheets, graphics, and reports using standard software applications. Ability to send/receive e-mail messages, post information to a database or spreadsheet.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Skill in organizing and establishing priorities.
Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
Excellent attention to detail.
AutoCAD/Graphics Designer
EQUIPMENT, MACHINES AND SOFTWARE USED:
Ability to operate a computer, printer, scanner, telephone, copier, calculator, and Mouse.
Computer Software: Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel,
Access, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, and Autodesk.
- MENTAL AND VISUAL REQUIREMENTS:
Close mental and visual attention required preparing and analyzing data and figures, wonk on a computer, read or control machines or processes at a rapid pace that requires close coordination and fine adjustment.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, use fingers to grasp, handle or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend; climbs stairs, pull or push with arms and/or hands, reach with arms and/or hands, talk, hear and perform repetitive motions with hands and/or wrists.
Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
There is no exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Work is performed in a typical office work environment.
Travel, including normal work hours, overnight or weekend may occur occasionally.
