HOURS: 8.00/day, Monday - Friday

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represents the district in a positive light and enhances the district/community relationship.
- Familiar with district philosophy.
- Conducts required trainings related to National Network for Partnership (NNPS), for Action Teams for Partnerships (ATP) leaders, district staff and other stakeholders.
- Monitors schools’ progress and provides assistance on partnerships with NNPS.
- Celebrates successes and helps schools share good practices.
- Conducts trainings as needed for parent and family engagement.
- Has flexibility to meet the needs of the program and coincide with attending site committee meeting schedules.
- Communicate clearly and work effectively with staff, students, and patrons.
- Maintains up-to-date accurate records.
- Valid Washington State driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent public relations skills; must enjoy working with and serving the public.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional, cooperative working relationships
- Knowledge of community service and support agencies.
- Knowledge of Title I Basic, State and Federal Bilingual program guidelines.
- Participate in District meetings to communicate information and gain feedback and/or direction on a variety of issues.
- Assists with supervision of students to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
The Parent Partnership/Coordinator will support the district level operations for family and community partnerships as members of the National Network of Partnership Schools. The coordinator will provide ongoing support, information, training, and technical assistance to each of the schools. The coordinator will also provide support, including facilitation of communication and coordination, between schools and the department of Special Programs. The coordinator will receive, manage, and distribute all district level donations, and will deliver training to parents not limited to, but including literacy, understanding the educational system and more.
NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist other personnel as may be required to support them with the completion of their work activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- AA Degree, required. BA preferred
- Prior job-related experience preferred but not required.
- Bilingual and/or Biliterate (Spanish), required.
- Prior experience in program evaluation, developing and providing service to culturally and ethnically diverse families.
- Experience working in a K-12 setting preferred but not required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimum superivsion and many interruptions.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks on time with accuracy and professionalism.
- Knowledge of computer programs.
- Strong typing and word processing skills.
- Understand and conduct verbal and written instruction.
- Knowledge in proper use of English in both written and verbal forms, use of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND TESTING:
- Passing score on district administered bilingual test.
