Quality Assurance Auditor

Job Summary

We are seeking a Food Safety / Quality Assurance Auditor to support plant and warehouse operations by conducting internal food safety and quality audits. This role ensures compliance with food safety regulations, supports customer and third‑party audits, and works cross‑functionally to maintain strong food safety and continuous improvement programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct internal food safety, warehouse, HACCP, glass, pest control, and cold storage audits
• Prepare for and participate in customer and third‑party audits
• Maintain HACCP plans and food safety programs
• Track corrective actions for internal, customer, and third‑party audits
• Maintain audit schedules, certifications, calibrations, complaint logs, and trend reports
• Maintain food defense, food fraud, crisis management, supplier approval, and lab accreditation programs
• Assist with food safety training, mock recalls, and preventive control documentation
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management
• Support sister company audits as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–4 years of related experience in food safety, quality assurance, or food manufacturing
• Working knowledge of food safety regulations and quality systems
• HACCP certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Familiarity with third‑party audit standards such as BRC, SQF, or FSSC preferred
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and computer skills
• Ability to prepare accurate reports and maintain detailed records
• Self‑motivated and able to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be able to read and write in English
• Must be able to pass drug screening

Work Environment & Schedule

• Overtime may be required to meet operational needs

Pay: $30.65 per hour
