What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roadway Lighting Tech I position at Pasco County?
- Ability to gain knowledge of methods, practices, techniques, and materials of the roadway lighting and electrical trade.
- Ability to read and work from plans, schematics, and displays.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to troubleshoot and locate defective devices and make repairs.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to operate a personal computer.
- Ability to operate a variety of motor vehicles and trucks including bucket truck and digger derrick truck.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida driver's license. Must obtain a valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class "B" with Air Brakes within six (6) months from date of hire. Must possess an International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) or Florida Department of Transportation Work Zone Certification or able to obtain within six (6) months from date of hire. International Signal Association Roadway Lighting Certification preferred.
