What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Project Manager - Facilities Management position at Pasco County?
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of -Facilities construction and renovation.
- Knowledge of modern project management and- engineering procedures and techniques as they apply to building and grounds projects, studies, and development within the County.
- Knowledge of modern developments, current literature and sources of information in the area of facilities management, project management, architecture, and engineering.
- Ability to plan and direct the work of project managers,engineers, architects, contractors, technicians, and clerical personnel.
- Ability to give technical and professional review to a wide variety and large volume of construction and renovation plans and studies, and related documents.
- Ability to present clear and concise reports, orally and in writing.
- Working knowledge of Florida Building Code and other state and federal requirements for buildings and construction.
- Ability to read and interpret complex studies, engineering reports and plans.
- Ability to meet and work with the public, contractors, and consultants.
- Make presentations to achieve positive outcomes.
PHYSICAL SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication. Ability to visit work sites and inspect properties, structures and facilities. Requires standing, stooping and walking, sometimes in an outdoor environment.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or in a related field and eight (8) years of experience in the field of construction project management OR a Bachelor's Degree and ten (10) years of experience in the field of construction project management. Two (2) years' as a supervisor required.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida driver's license. Registration or certification as a General Contractor, Architect, Engineer or Project Management Professional (PMP) is required.
