Fleet Truck & Trailer Service Technician III

Reports to: Manager – Murray Maintenance

FLSA Status: Hourly

• Can you mentor Level 1 technicians while following established procedures?

What you’ll do

• Complete routine preventive maintenance and inspections to FMCSA guidelines.
• Diagnose and repair non-scheduled issues on tractors and trailers.
• Capture all work on work orders and inspection forms; ensure accurate entries and correct parts allocation per unit.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Handle additional duties as assigned by management.

• High school diploma or GED; vocational training preferred; CDL preparation a plus.
• 2–4 years’ experience in commercial tractor/trailer maintenance (minimum 2 years) within a garage or fleet-leasing environment.
• Diesel Mechanics degree preferred.
• Competencies: computer proficiency; clear written and verbal communication; strong organization; advanced problem-solving.
• Ability to perform well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
