Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their experience and promote repeat visits.
- Manage POS systems such as Jonas POS for accurate order processing, billing, and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for change, and manage credit card payments efficiently.
- Monitor alcohol consumption responsibly and adhere to all legal regulations regarding serving alcohol.
- Collaborate with team members during busy service periods, including nightclub or banquet events, ensuring smooth operations.
Experience
- Previous experience working as a bartender in a fast-paced environment such as a nightclub, fine dining restaurant, or banquet setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems like Jonas POS is essential for efficient order management.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and positively.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience in retail math, cash handling, and basic math skills to ensure accurate transactions.
- Familiarity with food industry standards related to beverage service, catering, brewing, and hospitality environments.
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume service periods while maintaining attention to detail.
