Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL LICENSE OR LANGUAGE SKILLS Experience: Six (6) months field work with preschool and/or elementary school aged children. Education: Associates degree or above from an accredited college/university – OR – Awarded high school diploma or GED equivalent PLUS transcript showing completion of 48 semester units from an accredited college. Units in early childhood education preferred. Immunization Requirements: Proof of immunization against influenza, pertussis, and measles is required. Refer to California Code, Health and Safety Code - HSC § 1596.7995 APPLICATION PROCEDURES: All applicants, including applicants presently employed by the Pasadena Unified School District, must complete an application online at www.edjoin.org. The application attachments must include: 1) Proof of completed education*: Awarded Associates degree or above from an accredited college/university – OR – Awarded high school diploma or GED equivalent PLUS transcript showing completion of 48 semester units from an accredited college. Units in early childhood education preferred. 2) Immunization records of immunization against influenza, pertussis, and measles (Applicants may try to access their records through the state at: https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/) 3) Updated Resume *DEGREE VERIFICATION: Transcripts and degrees received outside the United States must be supplemented by a complete evaluation report from a regionally accredited foreign degrees review agency.
