Under the direction of the Principal, performs a variety of bilingual community assistant activities at an assigned school site; serves as an interpreter between students, parents, families, administrators and staff; performs a variety of clerical duties; assists with parent meetings and advisory councils; prepares and maintain related records and reports related to assigned duties. Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION: Graduation from high school or equivalent GED. Associate (AA) degree, or education beyond an AA degree is highly desirable. EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of related experience involving frequent public contact and working with school age children. SPECIAL LICENSE, CERTIFICATION OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • Incumbents in this classification are required to speak, read and write in English and a designated second language.
