Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Occupational Therapist located in Pasadena, TX. The Occupational Therapist will assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans focused on helping patients improve their daily living and functional abilities. Responsibilities include evaluating patient progress, collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, and providing education and support to patients and their families. The role also involves working with pediatric and adult patients in a rehabilitation and skilled nursing setting.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Occupational Therapy and a strong understanding of rehabilitation practices
- Knowledge of medicine and patient care, particularly in skilled nursing and rehabilitation settings
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients and families
- Experience working with adult populations in various therapy settings
- Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Texas
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is a plus
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
