What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Houseman / General Helper position at Pasadena Inn?
About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Houseman/ General Helper to join our team. This person will be responsible for basic repairs and upkeep throughout the Inn, as well as assisting housekeeping staff with day-to-day operations.
Employment Type: Approximately 4-5 days per week
Hours: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekend Availability Required
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance tasks: plumbing, basic electrical, painting, patching drywall, unclogging drains, etc.
- Handle minor HVAC, appliance, and fixture repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections of rooms, public areas, and equipment.
- Assist housekeeping with moving furniture, restocking supplies, or other duties as needed.
- Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
- Keep maintenance areas clean and organized.
- Report any major repair needs or safety concerns to management.
Qualifications:
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and work independently.
- Must be dependable and able to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on feet for extended periods.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
