What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Setup Crew Member position at Party To Go?
Overview
Hi! I'm looking for one or two people who can help with setting up and taking down inflatables, dunk tanks, games, mini golf, bumper cars, etc.
This is an as-needed, event-based position with flexible scheduling based on availability and event volume.
Most rentals are on the weekends but they do get peppered throughout the week. Just let me know which days you would like to work and I'll see if I can setup a schedule for you.
Usually, we'll do all setups in the morning, then there is a break in the afternoon where you can go home and do whatever you want. We'll then come back to start pickups late afternoon into the evenings.
We will be setting up for kids' birthday parties and other events that don't happen often, so you will need to be on time every time. We're in the business of bringing smiles so make sure you have reliable transportation to and from work and are committed to showing up with a smile! :)
Pay is 18 an hour plus tips.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the timely setup and breakdown of event equipment.
- Load, unload, and organize supplies and materials needed for each event.
- Ensure all setup areas are clean, safe, and ready for use prior to event start times.
- Collaborate closely with event coordinators and team members to execute setup plans smoothly.
- Follow safety protocols during all setup activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Adapt quickly to changing plans or last-minute requests with a positive attitude and flexibility.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods during setup and breakdown activities - great work for staying in shape.
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and safety.
- Prior experience in event setup or related roles is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
