Driver Helper 1st and 2nd Shift

Position Summary and Primary Responsibilities:

Assist Drivers in loading/unloading and delivering Party Rental Ltd. goods to customers and clients in the most efficient, safest and professional manner

• Works with driver to load and unload truck manually
• Utilizes use of equipment to load, unload, truck.
• Work in adverse weather conditions
• Position blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo for transport
• Must deal with dispatchers, loaders, other employees, customer representatives, guards and other personnel at the stops, as a professional
• Maintain truck clean inside
• The ability to carry push and pull a minimum of 75lbs on a regular basis

Basic Qualifications:

Education

• Ability to speak, read and write English

Experience

• 6 months to 1 year work experience

Other Requirements

• Able to work a flexible schedule and as many as 12-14 hours in a day, including any of the shifts (day, evening, night and weekend and/or holidays)

Preferred Qualifications:

Education or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
• Bilingual Spanish and English a plus

Other Skills

• Ability to work in a fast pace ambiguous environment

Essential Functions:

• The ability to predictably and regularly attend work and to be punctual
• The ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers
• The ability to perform several tasks at once
• The ability to follow direction or instruction
• The ability to carry push and pull a minimum of 75 lbs. on a regular basis
• The ability to walk, stand, reach, kneel squat, climb ladders/stair while carrying PRL equipment
• The ability to sit for extended hours

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Work Days:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Preferred)
• Night Shift (Preferred)
• Overnight Shift (Preferred)
