Want to Learn How to DJ?

No DJ experience? No problem.

Party People Montana is hiring Event Staff to work weddings, corporate events, school dances, and private events throughout Southwest Montana.

We'll pay you while you learn professional DJing, MCing, audio, lighting, photo booth operation and event production.

Our training path is:

Event Staff → MC in Training → Wedding DJ

We promote from within, with increased pay and responsibility as you develop your skills.

What You'll Do

On event days you'll meet the team to load equipment and travel to the event.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Loading and unloading DJ equipment and photo booths
• Carrying equipment, sometimes up or down stairs
• Setting up and testing sound and lighting systems
• Operating photo booths and interacting with guests
• Assisting the DJ with music requests and event formalities
• Helping coordinate introductions, dances and timeline cues
• Communicating with venue staff and other vendors

We'll Train You

No DJ experience is required.

Our paid training program teaches you:

• Professional DJing and music mixing
• Photo booth operation
• MCing and microphone skills
• Wedding introductions and formalities
• Event timelines
• Vendor coordination
• Client service
• Event troubleshooting

Weekly team training is required during the training process.

Schedule

Our busy wedding season runs May through October.

Most events are Saturdays, with some Friday, Sunday and weekday events.

Candidates should be available for at least two weekends per month during our busy season.

Event days typically run 5 to 12 hours.

What We're Looking For

You must have:

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift and carry 45 pounds
• Reliable weekend availability, especially Saturdays
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Professional attitude around clients and guests

You do NOT need:

• Previous DJ experience
• Your own DJ equipment
• Professional event experience

We hire for reliability, attitude, communication and drive. We'll teach you the rest.

This Job Isn't for Everyone

Wedding DJing is fun, but getting there requires work.

You'll carry equipment, work long days, interact with lots of people and sometimes get home very late.

But at the end of the night, there might be 150 people on a packed dance floor singing along with the music because of decisions you helped make.

If you're looking for a quiet and easy Saturday job, this probably isn't it.
