Job Title: Store Clerk
Department: Operations
Reports To: Store Management Team
Position Summary: The Store Clerk is responsible for providing the customer with a positive shopping experience. Food preparation, cash register operation, shelf stocking, and keeping the store clean are important functions of the Store Clerk.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service
- Report to work on time and in proper uniform with nametag and promotional buttons.
- Responsible for accurate cash accounting and proper ringing of merchandise.
- Complete paperwork accurately.
- Promptly notify store management of any equipment problems or breakdowns.
- Follow all company policies.
- Practice proper food handling procedures.
- Complete tasks assigned by the store management promptly and accurately.
Customer Service
- Wear name tag and adhere to dress code.
- Be knowledgeable about products and services.
- Give customers 100% of your attention.
- Greet the customer with a smile and assist with any problems or questions.
- Insure the cleanliness of the facilities including but not limited to the restrooms, parking lot, and sales area.

Qualifications
- Work schedule varies each week and may include working nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common retail information, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, management, or members of the business community.
- Basic Math ability is required. (i.e. add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in either written or oral form.
Physical Demands
- Employee must be able to communicate effectively.
- Mobility to move freely throughout store on a continual basis throughout the workday.
- Employee is frequently required to stand and walk, sit and talk.
- Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
