What You'll Do
- Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures using four-handed dentistry
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
- Take and maintain accurate patient records
- Perform expanded functions permitted under New Mexico regulations
- Provide patient education and post-operative instructions
- Maintain sterilization and infection control standards
- Support scheduling and day-to-day clinical operations
- New Mexico EFDA certification or eligibility
- Completion of a New Mexico Board-approved EFDA program (or qualifying experience pathway)
- Current New Mexico certifications in:
- Radiography
- Coronal Polishing
- Topical Fluoride Application
- Pit and Fissure Sealants
- Successful completion of:
- EFDA Clinical Examination
- New Mexico Jurisprudence Exam (75% or higher)
- Required apprenticeship and infection control training
- Strong communication, organization, and patient care skills
- Experience with dental software preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Experience with Dentrix or Eaglesoft
