ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
The Partnership for Ontario County is a local nonprofit that has supported the Finger Lakes since 1998. The Partnership offers programs and services to strengthen the community and address the needs of individuals and families. Programs include the Community Support Center, Epic Zone Youth Clubhouses in Geneva and Bloomfield, Ontario County Youth Court, County Community Liaison Team, Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition, Suicide Prevention Coalition, Veterans Coalition, Leadership Ontario, and leads a monthly popup food pantry. Our team is composed of passionate and dedicated individuals working together to make a meaningful impact in our community.
PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Youth Clubhouse programs include two drop-in youth centers in Geneva and Bloomfield which provides a safe space where all youth have opportunity for development, empowerment, and support. The program focuses on helping youth develop and strengthen 40 developmental assets as defined by the Search Institute.
The Primary role of this position is to support youth related programs at The Partnership for Ontario County with the primary focus on the Epic Zone program.
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of activities, outreach and supports general implementation of activities. Is responsible for ensuring direct support staff have a clear understanding of all activities as well as having access to supplies, tools, and other items necessary to implement activities. Provides leadership and role modeling for direct support staff, volunteers, interns and external providers regarding best practices and member engagement. Ensures consistency of operations and utilization of systems across all program sites. Co-supervises other staff with Program Director. Attendance of meetings and training is required. Completes documentation and other program related paperwork as required. The Program Coordinator will assist in creating and supporting program marketing through social media and other means as necessary. Provides coverage for other site positions when needed.

This position is grant funded and contingent on performance and available funding. The position of Program Coordinator is part time, 30 hours per week with flexibility for increased hours if needed. (Not over 40 hours per week.)
Responsibilities:
Design, plan, and implement youth development programs that focus on enhancing academic skills, life skills, leadership development, career readiness, and social-emotional learning.
Ensure the right supplies, equipment and systems are available or installed and ready for program activity and/or function.
Ensures the health, safety, and well-being of members in the program by providing close supervision of all activities.
Communicates effectively with all Clubhouse staff, volunteers, and community partners.
Works collaboratively with community resources to coordinate the program operations within each identified community setting.
Provides support in the development, implementation, and marketing of programs.
Actively organizes and represents the organization at community events including participating in tabling events, information fairs, fun outreach activities, community events, etc.
Complete and compile all necessary paperwork for documentation, purchases, credit card statement reconciliation, reporting. Input all necessary information into a database to make reports and proposals.
Assists with orientation, evaluation and in-service training of program staff and volunteers as well as recruiting new volunteers for programs.
Participates as a Partnership for Ontario County team member and has a cooperative and supportive relationship with all employees and partners of the organization.
Abides by regulatory requirements and program expectations and ensures that policies and best practices are followed.
May participate in the development of funding proposals for the program.
Attends all mandated training as requested by the Director, Partnership, state, and federal project/grant staff.
Provides daily programmatic oversight and support for direct support staff. May supervise student employees, volunteers and/or interns.
Oversees external service providers during clubhouse operating times.
As part of a strong collective team member, all employees of the Partnership may occasionally assist with other programs as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for Youth Program Coordinator:
Bachelor's Degree preferred; Associates Degree or equivalent work experience considered.
Minimum of two years of work experience with youth ages 12-17 including demonstrated ability working with parents, and community leaders supporting youth.
Minimum of two years of experience with project or program coordination. Ability to work independently with excellent organizational skills.
Train staff and guide youth to broad community resources and partners.
Design and facilitate youth programs that are culturally responsive and accessible to participants from diverse backgrounds. Demonstrates the skills necessary for an appreciation of cultural and linguistic diversity.
Must be highly team oriented with experience with staff and program oversight. Understanding of team and group dynamics helpful.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience creating flyers and designing social media posts for digital marketing.
Computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and data entry to collate data and reports. Familiarity and comfort with reporting goals and outcomes.
Travel required.
Schedule flexibility required. Weekend hours occasionally needed.
