The Director of Community Programs plays a critical leadership role within PMCH, responsible for ensuring operational effectiveness and upholding the organization’s mission and values. This position provides dynamic leadership to staff, oversees the delivery of impactful programs and services, and builds strong, trust-based relationships with community partners, member hospitals, and funders. The Director will lead organizational planning and development, manage cross-functional teams, and implement initiatives that enhance programmatic impact, financial sustainability, and community engagement.
Essential Functions:
- Provide administrative guidance and strategic leadership and direction for grant-funded programs to ensure the progress and completion of program objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies for program enhancement and optimal outcomes achievement.
- Supervise and provide supportive guidance to Program Managers and Program Supervisors.
- Identify, cultivate, and maintain collaborative partnerships with local, regional, and statewide organizations, businesses, and funding agencies.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and provide or secure training for new staff.
- Conduct annual staff performance evaluations and provide ongoing guidance to staff regarding performance improvement steps.
- Manage the fiscal year grant cycle, from application/renewal process to reporting, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and deadlines.
- Develop and manage budgets for each program, monitoring expenses and allocating resources adequately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with community partners, government agencies, private foundations, and other stakeholders to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Utilize data to assess program effectiveness and drive decisions within programs.
- Regularly assess program outcomes and effectiveness, prepare reports, and communicate program impact to funders.
- Identify new funding opportunities, prepare grant proposals, and secure additional resources to expand program impact.
- Conduct weekly meetings with direct reports to discuss achievements toward program goals, challenges, and develop program implementation plans.
- Meet weekly with the Chief Operating Officer to provide program updates, successes, and challenges, and discuss plans for implementing program objectives and activities.

Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in public health, nursing, social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing public health programs
- Minimum 5 years of experience supervising staff.
- Ability to function effectively as both a team leader and a team member.

Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
