Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical training or trade certification(s) preferred.
Experience:
- Three to five years of progressively responsible facilities maintenance experience.
- Experience supervising maintenance staff.
- Experience working in a nonprofit organization, healthcare, shelter, residential facility, or victim services program preferred.
Skills/Abilities:
- Experience managing contractors and service vendors.
- Experience using computerized maintenance management or work order/ticketing systems.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position (Note: reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position).
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in a confidential residential environment.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles preferred.
Knowledge or Certification(s):
- Working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general construction.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, building codes, and safety compliance.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.
- Commercial maintenance certification(s) preferred.
- Knowledge of ADA accessibility standards, emergency preparedness, or physical security systems is preferred.
