Position Description
Job Title: Community Development & Chamber Coordinator
Reports To: PCD Executive Director
Status: Full-Time
Salary: $60,000-$70,000 commensurate with experience
Introduction
The Partnership for Community Development (PCD) is seeking a versatile, collaborative, and community-focused professional to serve as the Community Development & Chamber Coordinator. This position supports PCD's expanding countywide service load, playing a key role in implementing community and economic development initiatives while also overseeing core functions of the local Chamber of Commerce.
Approximately 25% of the workload will focus on Chamber membership services, events, and marketing. The remaining time will support a wide variety of PCD projects—including grant development, project coordination, community outreach, research, and general program support.

Position Summary
The Community Development & Chamber Coordinator provides administrative, programmatic, and outreach support to PCD's expanding portfolio of projects. This position assists with grant activities, community engagement, project research, communications, and coordination with municipalities, developers, local businesses, nonprofits, and residents.
The role also leads day-to-day operations of the Chamber of Commerce—including membership management, event coordination, and promotions—to support local businesses and strengthen community connections.
Duties and Responsibilities
Chamber of Commerce (approx. 25%)
· Manage Chamber membership, renewals, communications, and member services.
· Plan and coordinate Chamber events, workshops, networking programs, and promotions.
· Produce and distribute Chamber newsletters, announcements, and marketing materials.
· Support local business engagement and serve as a friendly, accessible point of contact.
· Coordinate with PCD staff to align Chamber activities with broader economic development goals.
Community & Economic Development Support
· Assist PCD staff with project coordination, cross-agency collaboration, and communications.
· Conduct background research, data gathering, and analysis for community development initiatives.
· Help develop new ideas, programs, and projects that support community vitality.
· Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, public workshops, and stakeholder engagement.
· Maintain positive relationships with municipalities, developers, local businesses, nonprofits, and community members.
· Conduct Initial Business advising for new HUB clients
Grant Support & Administration
· Assist with grant research, data collection, and assembling supporting materials.
· Support PCD staff with grant administration, tracking deadlines, and managing documentation. This may include documentation for compliance with procurement, bidding, MWBE goals, progress reports and cost tracking.
· Help municipalities and partners gather required information for grant reporting, compliance, and project progress.
Communications & Outreach
· Assist with PCD newsletters, social media posts, website updates, and promotional content.
· Help organize public events, meetings, and community outreach activities.
· Support storytelling, reporting, and impact communication for PCD programs and projects.
General Administrative & Organizational Support
· Provide administrative support for PCD programs as needed.
· Help maintain organized project files, member records, and communication systems.
· Support office operations and assist with other duties as assigned in a small-team, all-hands environment.
Qualifications
Required
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills—comfortable interacting with a wide range of people.
· Bachelor's degree
· Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
· Interest in community development, economic development, and local business support.
· Ability to learn new skills quickly and work both independently and collaboratively.
· Competency with standard office technologies (email, spreadsheets, word processing, social media tools).
· Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to attend off-site meetings and events.
Preferred
· Experience in event planning, marketing, small-business support, or community engagement.
· Experience working with nonprofits, municipalities, or community organizations.
· Basic familiarity with grants or willingness to learn grant processes.
· Strong writing skills (newsletters, outreach materials, or general communications).
· Comfort with public-facing roles and speaking in group settings.
