Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, adaptable, and bilingual (English/Spanish) individual to serve as the first point of contact for families, community members, and partners visiting our organization. This position plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of Partnership for Children & Families by providing exceptional customer service, administrative support, and operational assistance across multiple programs and departments.
The ideal candidate enjoys helping others, takes pride in staying organized, and can confidently manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. They are proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoy working collaboratively to support children, families, and the overall mission of PFCF.
Position Details
- Location: 507 N Steele Street, Sanford
- Job Type: Full-Time (32–36 hours/week) | Monday–Thursday, with occasional Fridays, evenings, and weekends. This is a fully in-person position and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.
- Pay: $14.25 - $16.31 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors, answer incoming phone calls, and serve as the first point of contact for families, community members, and partners.
- Direct visitors and callers to appropriate staff, programs, and community resources while providing excellent customer service in both English and Spanish.
- Manage incoming mail, deliveries, and inventory by receiving, verifying, documenting, organizing, and distributing packages, supplies, and office materials.
- Provide administrative support for agency programs, trainings, meetings, community events, and donation management.
- Provide interpretation and translation services in both English and Spanish for families, agency forms, brochures, educational materials, and other communications.
- Assist with administrative and fiscal operations, including credit card reconciliation, recordkeeping, and other financial administrative tasks.
- Coordinate administrative support for Board of Directors meetings, including communications, meeting logistics, room setup, and related administrative tasks.
- Perform other administrative, operational, and program support duties as assigned to help ensure the organization's efficient operation.
Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing) required.
- High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
- At least one year of customer service, administrative, or related experience.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Canva, and data-entry systems.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professionalism when handling sensitive information.
