We are seeking a versatile and experienced Senior Accountant with strong Workday experience to join an established accounting team. This role is ideal for a generalist who can seamlessly support different areas of the accounting department and contribute to a wide range of financial operations.
The Senior Accountant will be a key contributor to the month-end close process, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, support general ledger activity, and assist with various accounting projects. Hands-on experience working within Workday is a key requirement for this position.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations for various general ledger accounts
- Reconcile cash and other balance sheet activity to the general ledger
- Review and reconcile payroll-related accounts and make necessary adjustments
- Prepare and review account reconciliations and research discrepancies
- Assist Accounts Payable with invoice and expense report activity as needed
- Support employee expense and credit card reconciliations
- Work within Workday to support accounting transactions, reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger activity
- Research and resolve accounting or system-related discrepancies
- Respond to inquiries from internal departments regarding financial matters
- Cross-train and provide backup support across different areas of the accounting department
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting requirements
- Support external financial statement audit requests
- Participate in special projects, process improvements, and accounting system initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Hands-on Workday experience required
- Strong general ledger, journal entry, and account reconciliation experience
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
