Position Overview
We are looking for a "know-it-all" Maintenance Technician—someone who has seen it all and can fix most of it. You’ll be the primary person responsible for keeping our properties in top-tier shape. While a large part of the job involves painting and aesthetic "make-readies," we need a technician who isn't afraid to dive into the mechanical side when a faucet leaks or an appliance acts up.
Core Responsibilities
- The "Expert" Touch: Serve as the go-to person for troubleshooting property issues, from minor mechanical failures to complex wall repairs.
- Painting & Aesthetics: High-quality interior/exterior painting, expert drywall patching, and finishing work to ensure units look brand new.
- Light Mechanical & Plumbing: Handle the "real world" fixes—snaking drains, replacing garbage disposals, fixing leaky toilets, and swapping out faucets.
- Electrical Maintenance: Safely replace outlets, switches, light fixtures, and ceiling fans.
- Appliance & HVAC Basics: Perform minor repairs on stoves and fridges; handle filter changes and basic thermostat troubleshooting
- Full Unit Turnovers: Efficiently manage the "make-ready" process, ensuring every detail (aesthetic and mechanical) is perfect for the next tenant.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- The Problem-Solver Mindset: You don’t need a manual for everything; you have the intuition to figure out why something isn't working and how to fix it.
- Multi-Talented: Skilled in painting, carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
Preferred Experience
- 5 years in residential or apartment maintenance.
- A background in general contracting or "handyman" services where you handled multiple trades daily.
- Tool Savvy: Proficient with everything from a paintbrush to a multimeter and power tools.
- Reliability: You take pride in "doing it right the first time" so you don't have to come back twice.
Pay: $18.00 - $31.14 per hour
