Partners Professional are currently seeking experienced Human Resources Generalist candidates for our clients’ location in Rockingham NC. They use an alternate title internally, Associate Relations Representative. The selected will help deliver key HR programs that support the employee experience, including leading new hire orientation and building strong relationships with associates and management across the facility. In this role, you will serve as a trusted HR partner, helping foster a collaborative work environment while supporting initiatives that promote engagement, and communication.
This position is being offered as a Permanent/Direct Hire placement. Shift hours for this position are generally 11:00 PM - 8:00 AM.(3rd Shift). During training for @60-90 days, the selected candidate will be working 1st and 2nd shifts and then will be moved to 3rd shifts once judged as being competent.
Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Effectively participate in the resolution of conflict in the workplace, coach and counsel supervision on methods to improve absenteeism, turnover and plant efficiencies.
- Ensure consistent policy application in the resolution of issues addressed.
- Provide training to supervisory personnel on policies and procedures.
- Ensure newly hired associates receive an effective, timely, informative new hire orientation utilizing the company approved format and materials.
- Schedule, conduct, facilitate, audit and identify new methods to improve new hire orientation.
- Provide coaching and counseling to supervisory personnel to improve the supervisor’s ability to effectively direct their workforce.
- Participate in Peer Review and Management Review process.
- Identify, design, train, implement and audit new methods to reduce turnover.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations or related field.
- 3 - 5 years’ experience.
- Proven success in writing, updating and auditing Affirmative Action Plans, thorough knowledge of I-9 requirements, experience in ADA, EEOC, DOL, OFCCP regulations and current law.
- Previous experience in working in a manufacturing environment (internal workers of 500 is preferable); proven experience in problem-solving automated timekeeping systems and orientation of new associates.
- Must be able to multi-task and organize multiple projects.
- Requires strong analytical skills, analyzing and resolving problems at both a strategic and functional level.
- Must have knowledge of and ability to provide strong customer orientation along with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization and a commitment to excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Requires knowledge of a commitment to team performance, effective coaching and demonstrated skills or a strong team player.
- Requires travel to other facilities and plants for meetings and/or company business.
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
- May need to climb ladders.
Our Client will consider relocation for the qualified candidate – 600 mile radius. This position Will Be on site Daily- it is Not possible to be working remotely. If you are applying and do not live within a day commute, they will conduct initial interviews virtually.
This HR Generalist is serving a vital role in a very large (1200 employees) environment. You must be confident and comfortable in working 3rd shift, often without the larger HR team available or on the same shift.
