Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Optometric Physician Recruiter to join our team as an Independent Contractor (1099). In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing optometric physicians across a variety of healthcare settings nationwide.

As a key partner in our recruitment strategy, you’ll leverage your industry knowledge, networking skills, and recruiting expertise to connect top-tier talent with leading healthcare organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, identify, and engage qualified optometric physicians through networking, job boards, referrals, social media, and direct outreach.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of active and passive candidates.
• Conduct initial screenings to assess qualifications, licensing, and availability.
• Coordinate interviews and manage follow-up communications.
• Guide candidates through the recruitment process, including offer discussions and onboarding support.
• Maintain accurate candidate and client records within an ATS/CRM.
• Partner with internal team members to understand client staffing needs, timelines, and requirements.
• Stay current on market trends, industry updates, and compensation benchmarks.
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• Proven experience in physician or healthcare recruiting (optometry preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
• Familiarity with ATS/CRM systems and remote communication tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
• Comfortable in a commission-only compensation model.

• Experience recruiting optometrists or other eye-care professionals.
• Knowledge of physician compensation structures.
• Established professional network in the healthcare or vision care industry.
