Company Description Partners in Special Education (PSE) has provided long- and short-term special education services to charter schools, school districts, and other educational institutions since 2003. The organization serves students ages 4–22 by developing customized programs in close collaboration with its clients. PSE’s multidisciplinary team includes speech and language pathologists, educational specialists, therapists, nurses, and other professionals who deliver comprehensive support to students. The organization also assists schools in maintaining compliance with federal and state special education laws while helping them manage costs. PSE’s mission is to connect people and collaborate to achieve extraordinary results, allowing clients to focus on their students.
Role Description This full-time, on-site Speech Language Pathologist role is located in Sacramento, CA. The Speech Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders in educational settings. Daily responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, providing direct therapy services, and monitoring student progress. The role involves collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary team members, participating in IEP meetings, and maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with school, state, and federal requirements. The Speech Language Pathologist will also provide consultation, training, and support to staff to enhance communication outcomes for students.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Speech Therapy and Speech interventions to support students in school-based environments.
  • Experience working with Communication Disorders and Language Disorders, including assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment.
  • Knowledge and clinical skills in managing Dysphagia within educational and pediatric settings, where applicable.
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist and any required school-based credentials or certifications.
  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate effectively with families and staff.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills, with commitment to legal and ethical practice in special education.
  • Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.
