Department: Hospice
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time. Full-time preferred, but we welcome part-time applicants as well.
Schedule: Monday–Friday (with occasional weekend coverage)
Location: Lake County, MT
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide essential hands-on support and personal care to clients in their homes. Under the direction of nursing staff and a client’s individualized plan of care, you will assist with daily living activities, promote comfort and safety, and help clients maintain independence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Travel to client homes in varying weather conditions to provide scheduled care
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as:
- Bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
- Skin, mouth, and hair care
- Bowel and bladder routines, incontinence care
- Support clients with mobility, ambulation, and prescribed exercises
- Assist with nutrition planning, meal preparation, and feeding
- Perform grocery shopping and essential household tasks
- Monitor and report changes in client condition or environment
- Provide medication reminders (not administration)
- Document care accurately and promptly using agency systems
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CNA certification
- Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and appropriate auto insurance
- Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and follow a plan of care
