Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)

Rate: $18.00 - $20.00/hour
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM | 11-month school calendar
Partners in Child Development is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in our Anderson School in Andover, MA. You will work closely with the Special Education Teacher in a classroom of approximately 5 students who have multiple disabilities, moderate to severe developmental delays, and complex medical needs. This is a full-time, 35 hours per week position.

Partners in Child Development is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in our Anderson School in Andover, MA. Role Responsibilities
- Help with classroom activities
- Maintain a clean and neat classroom environment
- Support the physical and minimal health needs of our students which may include lifting, positioning, seating, feeding, toileting/diapering, and mobility
- Work closely with parents/guardians, and a team of experienced, caring, dedicated staff all sharing a passion for working with students with special needs
- High school diploma or GED
- Interest in working with children with special needs
- Prior experience working with students with disabilities is a plus
- Strong oral and written communication and technical skills
- Suitable background and fingerprint checks
- Mostly active - must be able to sit, bend, kneel and lift 25 pounds
