Purpose:
Lead Administrative Patient Care Tech Position: Partners in Abortion Care is seeking a Lead Administrative Patient Care Technician (LPCT) with a strong administrative background. The Lead Administrative Patient Care Technician (LPCT) will participate in the routine tasks and responsibilities of Patient Care Technician (PCT), including but not limited to participating in training and being on-call. Additionally, the administrative LPCT will assist the Clinic Manager in maintaining and enhancing daily clinic operations and assist in the implementation and maintenance of systems and processes. Administrative LPCT will assist in daily administrative clinical flow management, supply inventory management and ordering, developing and training new patient care technicians and other projects that contribute to the growth of Partners in Abortion Care (PIAC). The Lead Administrative Patient Care Technician plays a key role in ensuring high quality, efficient, and compassionate patient care throughout the clinic. The Lead Administrative Patient Care Technician will work closely with the Lead Clinical Patient Care Technician to accomplish these aims.
This position is part of the SEIU 1199 bargaining unit. The selected candidate will be subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the collective bargaining agreement between Partners in Abortion Care LLC and SEIU 1199. Membership in the union and payment of union fees is required upon hiring. We offer competitive wages and benefits as negotiated under the collective bargaining agreement. Coordinate administrative role assignments throughout the day. Work with Lead Clinical Patient Care Technician to coordinate administrative role assignments with clinical role assignments.

Assist with ordering and managing clinical supplies and equipment

Double-check and monitor quality of clinical care and administrative tasks performed by PCT team

Serve as primary trainer for new Patient Care Technician hires in administrative areas

Ensure clinic is prepared each day from an administrative perspective

Support administrative and clinical education and competency development (abortion/labor support, laboratory training, front desk training, etc.)

Contribute to the development of administrative and clinical systems and processes that enhance care delivery

Other duties as assigned
Expectations:
Lead Administrative Clinical Patient Care Technicians report to the Clinic Manager. The Clinic Manager’s expectations of the Lead Clinical PCT are as follows:
Consistency/ Dependability:
The Lead Administrative PCT is expected to be on time for shifts and consistently fulfill all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
Professionalism:
The Lead Administrative PCT is expected to conduct themselves in accordance with PIAC values. This includes but is not limited to being on time for shifts, communicating effectively, and completing tasks using a collaborative and flexible approach.
Communication:
Practicing consistent, clear communication with coworkers and leadership. Grounding all communications on a foundation of compassion and shared dignity. Working with leadership and coworkers to establish and maintain clear boundaries that protect the safety and security of staff and patients.
Mentorship & Leadership:
Lead Administrative PCTs serve as guides for new and training Patient Care Technicians, guiding them through daily administrative and clinical responsibilities, checklists, restocking, and other PCT tasks. In the absence of the clinic manager, or when these tasks are delegated by the clinic manager, the Lead Administrative PCT is responsible for directing the administrative workflow and role assignments for the PCT team. The Lead Administrative PCT will work closely with the Lead Clinical PCT to ensure efficient clinical and administrative processes.
Initiative:
Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and solution-oriented practices. Completing tasks with little oversight and proactively addressing administrative workflow needs.
