The School-Based Mentor Program Manager oversees all aspects of the School-Based Mentoring (SBM) program, ensuring effective mentor recruitment, training, and supervision. This role is responsible for hiring and coaching school-based mentors, facilitating professional development, and supporting mentors in case management and relationship building with mentees. The manager serves as the primary liaison between Partners and school sites, fostering strong partnerships to ensure successful program implementation. Additionally, this position tracks outcomes, supports program evaluation, and contributes to continuous improvement efforts aligned with organizational standards and goals. This position is scheduled to begin in June 2026.

Compensation: $25.48 - $31.25/hour, DOE

Hire, train, and coach school-based mentors in program delivery (20%)
- Manage the recruitment, hiring, training of all School Based Mentor (SBM) Staff
- Deliver annual training for SBMs, including identifying and facilitating debrief topics throughout the school year.
- Provide ongoing coaching and supervision with each SBM.
- Train Staff on all and continual program implementation and deliverables
- Work within the context of Partners’ policies, procedures, program standards, and guidance.
Provide on-going support for mentor/mentee relationships in the school setting (30%)
- Support School Based Mentors in case management needs and requirements
- Develop a working knowledge of community resources and agencies, their function and responsibility to most effectively assist mentors in serving their mentees
- Review weekly Case Notes of SBM’s
- Implement Peer Mentoring Program at local schools that request/have capacity for program
Be the local point of contact and liaison with school staff (20%)
- Develop and maintain effective working partnerships with School Sites
- Communicate with site supervisors regarding program implementation, successes, and areas of improvement
- Collaborate with school staff to identify school needs and place School-Based Mentors appropriately
- Collaborate with school staff to coordinate and implement peer mentoring
Provide feedback and data on program outcomes to assist in program evaluation and continuous improvement (10%)
- Comply with and facilitate program standards
- Lead program evaluation, data tracking, and reporting for staff and sites
- Support the organization through ongoing program review, assessment, and data collection.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience supervising employees and/or volunteers and/or passion for serving youth and families facing adversity such as poverty, substance abuse, and educational challenges
- Bachelor’s Degree (Human Services, Education, Social Work or related field), or demonstrated experience in a leadership role
- Conflict management and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to foster positive, supportive relationships with collaborative partners
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Successful completion of Partners screening process
- Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Must have privately owned vehicle, current driver’s license and up to date insurance, as well as a willingness to drive a 12-passenger van as needed in varying road conditions
